Equipping Pastors to Equip Their People

Pursuing the Pattern

For Those that Have the Hunger to serve

What about those, who like us, are born into the kingdom with a heart to serve, and a hunger to know, to understand the word of God, and yet because they are born in a developing nation they don’t have the assets available to do so? These men and women of God, these servants of the Most High, deserve the opportunity to be equipped, so they can, from the accurate knowledge of the truth, equip others to fulfill their calls.

It is sad to note that in many developing nations, pastors with a powerful call on their lives must rely on obtaining their knowledge from television programs broadcast from the west. Countless times, this information is blended with cultural traditions far from biblical.

This, we believe, is because throughout large portions of the Church today, what is presented as biblical truth falls far short of apostolic doctrine, or following this doctrine, what the body of Christ has held to be accurate down through the centuries.

To restore the biblical process and the way God has chosen to build His church, we pursue the Eph 4:11-13 pattern of ministry as laid out by the Apostle Paul.

Ephesians, chapter four tells us that the Pastors are to equip their people, and the people, in turn, are to do the work of the ministry.

The Flow of the Ephesians 4:11-13 Principle can be understood this way.

Why is this important?

As this process takes place, where not only the pastors but also the people of God are trained, we will see individuals – families – communities – and nations changed for the glory of Christ.

How can we be faithful to the words of the Lord to “make disciples (Matt 28:19-20)”, “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded,” if the word of God is not taught accurately?

It is biblical truth, not men, that changes lives through the work of the Holy Spirit. The change that is accomplished is declared in the Scripture itself (2 Tim 3:16).

The Ephesians four principle brings wholeness in every area of existence. Therefore the lives of all people are affected holistically as well.
