RSMI: Expressing the Kingdom of God in the Earth

Who is Bishop G?

Bishop G is Bishop Gary Earls. He is the founder and president of Risen Scepter Ministries International.

Bishop G is a writer, biblical teacher, and speaker. Gary has developed several seminars that he teaches as he travels in developing nations to equip pastors and the people of our Risen Scepter Christian Fellowship churches. One of these is a comprehensive course entitled Discipleship: Transformed into His Image, which helps people understand the Gospel and their purpose and responsibility in the body of Christ.

Gary’s primary areas of study through Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and continuing education have been various theological systems such as systematic and biblical theology. Along with this, Bishop G holds that “We need to know whose shoulders we stand on,” meaning that knowledge of Church History is vitally important. Gary states that “If pastors are not equipping their people in these basic concepts, they are failing that congregation as well as not protecting them from wrong teaching.”

Study

“It is primarily through the vehicles of good theology and an appropriate sense of church history that God keeps us on track. Therefore, we should have a passion for protecting the Gospel just as the Apostle Paul did. When we protect doctrine, the principles of our faith that are the foundation of our belief, we protect not only our legacy but the health of the Church for future generations of believers.” Bishop G

Personal History

Formerly, Gary was a missionary in the Philippines, where he taught at the Asia Center for Biblical Studies in the province of Laguna, playing a part in preparing the students for their future roles as Pastors of various churches in that country.

When returning to the United States, he became involved in work at Restoration Urban Ministries in Illinois, filling the roles of both Resident and Program Director respectively, ministering to people struggling from an extensive range of issues, including alcohol and drug addiction and homelessness.

Along with the work at Restoration Urban Ministries, Bishop G served as a pastor and church planter in the mid-western United States.

Traveling and Home

When not traveling, Gary resides in central Illinois. He has an adult son who lives in Ohio with his wife and a grandson living in Kentucky. Bishop G is available for speaking engagements as well as personally conducting the discipleship seminar or other engaging teaching toward equipping the body of Christ
