Engage
Just Like Gears
If the gears of a car are not engaged it won’t go anywhere; no matter how far down you press the accelerator, or how high the rpms of the engine, the vehicle simply sits in one place. Therefore, for our purposes…
Engagement means to interact, to participate in such a way that an event takes place or things happen
|
It Takes Two If you look at it that way, engagement then, requires two or more parties involved in the process to cause action to take place. Of course one person can be engaged in something, however keeping to our definition, a first individual or group must be involved with a second individual or group to bring something forth. Simple huh? |

From the Second to the Third
When the gears of the car become engaged and interaction takes place, there is a result; the car goes into motion. And so, when there is cooperative interaction based upon engagement between two parties something takes place. This leads us to the third principle which is…
Interaction results in action.
The Caveat
Now there is a small caveat to this, the resulting action can be either good or bad. There is no guarantee that when we are involved in engagement that the results will be positive.
The good or bad of results has to do with purpose, what are we engaged in together? If our purpose is bad, then most likely the results will be as well. The only exception that we can see to this is Romans 8:28. In this verse even a bad agenda can bring forth a good result, although we’re not suggesting that we are to practice bad plans to test God’s results.
What we are talking about here is people coming together to do God’s will His way, for His purpose. If this is the case how could the result be bad?
An Invitation
RSMI is inviting you to participate in Kingdom Action with us. You can participate through Prayer; you can participate through Equipping; or you can participate through Extending your reach for God’s kingdom purpose. It’s up to you, but here’s the warning, once you become engaged and see the results. You will never want to take the car out of gear.
